When implants are limited due to an inadequate quantity and/or structure of bone, removable two-implant overdentures may be a suitable solution. For this procedure, two, but sometimes up to four implants ( see our mini-implant page ) are inserted into the jawbone and left to heal. Your denture is then secured via snaps to these implants. Two implants provide a more affordable, but less stable solution to loose lowers.
Bar Retained DenturesThis implant procedure can serve as an anchor support for your dentures. First, 3-4 implants are carefully inserted into your jawbone, and after they have healed, a customized bar is attached to them. This bar provides firm support to the denture which fits over the bar, secured firmly in place by a series of special snaps. The denture can be easily removed for cleaning and brushing of the supporting bar.

There are many other ways to replace missing teeth than only with dentures. In conjunction with our partners at Chrysalis Dental, you can have a bridge placed, supported by four or five implants. Chrysalis has placed over a thousand of these bridges successfully. The bridges are designed by our denturists in our own lab the same way dentures are designed, only with a fraction of the pink plastic. This type of procedure can usually be completed in just half a day.
Bridges are permanent restorations, and once completed, function much like natural teeth. Even loose or falling teeth can be extracted and replaced with an complete implant bridge at once so that dentures never need to be worn at all. Thats right, teeth extracted, implants placed, bridge attached, all in half a day ! All this with little or no swelling, bruising or discomfort.
